Doctors Supporting Troups And...
As some of you may remember, last year Dr. Daniel Rowan together with Doctors Louis Bonaldi, Jason Champagne, and Renny Uppal, introduced “Doctors Supporting Troops” a new program for 2011 benefitting current and former members of the military currently or previously living or serving in northern Nevada. The all-new program for the 13th annual PGA TOUR event encouraged active duty, guard, reserve and veterans of all military branches to write an essay explaining why he or she would like a chance to play in the tournament’s Wednesday Pro-Am. Nominations were accepted to a certain date and winners were announced the week of June 27 on KRNV News Channel 4.

The 14th annual Reno-Tahoe Open at Montrêux, an official PGA TOUR event, takes place July 30 - Aug. 5, 2012 at Montrêux Golf & Country Club in Reno, Nev. The tournament is a full-field stop during the PGA TOUR Regular Season and is part of the FedExCup series, a points competition for PGA TOUR professionals. The internationally-televised tournament brings in millions of dollars in coverage for the Reno-Tahoe region through its affiliation with The Golf Channel as it follows 132 PGA TOUR professionals competing for a share of the tournament’s $3 million purse. The Reno-Tahoe Open is operated and managed by the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation, comprised of key sponsors including Eldorado Hotel Reno, Montrêux Development Group and NV Energy.
