Dr. Mary McMains has more than 25 years of optometry experience and is dedicated to providing quality vision care to all ages. She is Board Certified in Vision Development and Vision Therapy by the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association, holds a Master of Education Degree in Visual Function in Learning and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. She has special interest in visual development, function and rehabilitation, particularly in sports vision, and myopia control. She provides these services at EyeZone - Midtown.
Dr. McMains is a Nevadan native from Las Vegas. After receiving a bachelor degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, she attended optometry school and the college of education at Pacific University in Oregon.
Dr. McMains is an avid reader of fantasy/fiction and movie goer, but also enjoys cars, dancing, kayaking, hiking, cooking, and just overall experiencing and learning new things. She has two adult children, a dog, and a cat. Her favorite quote is “Argue for your limitations and sure enough they’re yours.”
